The EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation will require a Digital Product Passport for nearly every product sold into Europe, phased in by category through 2030. The Digital Product Passport App makes that practical for small and mid-size merchants. It pulls core product data from Shopify, collects the missing pieces such as material breakdown, recycled content, and manufacturing origin from merchants and their suppliers, estimates carbon impact from a built-in emissions library, and generates a compliant, GS1-linked passport. A storefront widget surfaces the headline figures against category benchmarks and links shoppers to the full record. I lead product design, merchant strategy, and app-store positioning.
